We were absolutely shocked when we first learned there was a Lavender Farm in DFW. With zero hesitation, we planned a day trip. To our delight, we found that Lavender Ridge Farms isn’t just a quick, easy, quaint getaway, it’s a spot! Food, gardens, animals and shopping! The entire afternoon was a joy! Lavender Ridge Farms is now one of our favorite getaways in all of DFW. We can NOT recommend it enough!

Visitors can browse through the farm’s gift shop, which is filled with lavender-based products such as lotions, soaps and candles. There are even culinary items such as lavender honey, lavender salad dressing and lavender-infused teas. All of the products are handmade on the farm, using the highest quality ingredients and the freshest lavender.
Visitors to the gift shop can also purchase fresh-cut lavender bundles, which are perfect for adding a touch of fragrance and beauty to any room in the home. The farm’s lavender essential oil is also a popular item, known for its calming properties and its ability to promote relaxation. Seriously, a trip to Lavender Ridge Farms would not be complete without a stop at their gift shop! We bought so much; we have zero regrets. Visitors to Lavender Ridge Farms can enjoy a variety of experiences, including gorgeous scenery and an assortment of animals. Personally, our favorite activity was hanging out with the lemurs on the farm! It can get a bit dusty, so make sure to wear covered shoes.
Our other favorite activity was eating. If you’re feeling hungry, you’re in luck! Lavender Ridge Farms has an on-site café that serves up delicious food made with fresh, local ingredients. They even have lavender lemonade and lavender ice cream (10/10 recommend)! It’s the perfect place to relax and enjoy a meal after a long day
Outstanding Staff
In addition to the farm’s natural beauty, Lavender Ridge Farms is also known for its friendly and knowledgeable staff. The staff are passionate about lavender and are happy to share their knowledge and expertise with visitors. They are always available to answer questions, provide recommendations, and offer guidance on how to best experience the farm’s offerings. Did we mention that the farm is family owned? Originally a strawberry & melon farm in the 1920’s & 1930’s, it has been passed down for over 150 years. Now that’s a family legacy!
We Went Back! Lavender Ridge Farms in 2025
We visited the farm recently, on August 2, and it was simply magical. The garden was in full bloom and buzzing with bumblebees, butterflies, and other tiny pollinators. Visitors, ourselves included, were enchanted by the beauty of it all. It felt life-affirming. We’re sharing some photos from our recent visit. Feel the joy!
This year, we happened to arrive during a plant sale and scored some beautiful perennials. We planted them all and are looking forward to enjoying their beauty in the years to come.
