10+ Best Coffee Shops Open Late in Dallas

If you’re searching for coffee shops open late in Dallas, we’ve got you covered.

Autumn here. I’m embarrassed to admit I often don’t go to sleep until 3 or 4 a.m. It feels like I’m always playing catch-up and can never quite finish everything on my to-do list.

The writer of this late-night coffee shops in Dallas guide smiles and flashes a peace sign beside a vinyl record player at a Dallas coffee shop.

But my bad habit might be your good fortune. If you’re searching for coffee shops open late in Dallas, I’ve got the perfect list for you. I know it can feel like there’s nothing really open in Dallas past 9 p.m.; I was right there with you. As it happens, however, that’s not quite true.

Whether you’re pulling a late night study session, catching up on work, or just craving a late-night caffeine fix — this list breaks down the best coffee shops open late in Dallas by hours and vibes – including Midnight & 24-Hour Options.

Here’s What’s Up Dallas!

Dallas Coffee Shops Open Until 10pm

If you just need a little more time, try these two spots!

Half Price Books / North Dallas | ~10pm
Inside Half Price Books (!!). The sleeper hit. Great tables, cozy, excellent for late work sessions. This is the true gem on this list! Double-check you route to make sure you’re headed to the right Half Price Book location – and you’re welcome.

Oak Lawn | ~10pm
This is a cute, remote-friendly cafe. However, it does serve alcohol and can get loud (but not overly rowdy) at night. It’s also on an LGBTQ+ clubbing street, so expect loud music sometimes.

Honorable Mentions:

The Spin Coffee & Vinyl — 7pm (can listen to vinyl records!)
White Rock Coffee — 8pm depending on location (still early but good)
Foxtrot Market — 9pm (includes built-in grocery store)

Dallas Coffee Shops Open Until 11pm

These next two options are fantastic if you haven’t been! 100/10 recommend!

Henderson | ~11pm
Reliable Wi-Fi, food, and lots of folks using laptops. Consistently one of the best late-work options. They also have a bangin’ happy hour 3-7pm M-F including $8 drinks and $6-8 snacks (Rec: chicken biscuit). However, parking can be hard though, so be aware!

Oak Lawn | ~11pm
European-style dessert cafe with wine, coffee, and chocolate everything. It’s dimly lit, and perfect for a late-night conversation or solo journaling. Laptop work is possible here too, as long as it doesn’t fill up. 12/10 for ambiance. We love it so much, we wrote an entire blog post about it.

Dallas Coffee Shops Open Until Midnight

If you need true midnight hours, these next two are your new spots!

Bishop Arts | ~12am
Bishop Arts bookstore meets espresso martini. Great for conversation and light laptop work if you catch a calm night. It might be lively, but this is the best Dallas midnight study option. 15/10 vibe.

No-Wifi-Weekends

Ok… so here’s the thing: WD turns its Wi-Fi off on the weekends to encourage customers to disconnect and socialize (#ThirdPlaceVibes). From 5pm on Friday until Sunday night, you will have naught. But it’s fast, free Wi-Fi on the weekdays and late hours too!

Lower Greenville | ~12am
Not just coffee — there are specialty fruit drinks, kava, elixirs, and more — but the vibe is the real draw. It’s quiet during the day and turns into a relaxed bar at night. If you grab a couch, late-night laptop work is technically possible. We saw it with our own eyes.

Not Recommended for Late-Night Studying

All of these places come up on google search when you look up “Late Night Coffee Dallas” and all of them should be listed with an asterisk!

Triumphs Espresso & Whiskey — Design District | ~12am
There was a live jazz band when we visited, which was very cool, but also very loud. Add in the cocktails and outdoor seating, and this not for studying.
La Reunion — Bishop Arts District | 2am
The music was blasting when we went. It felt almost like a club, just with slightly more relaxed vibes. Fun place, but we would not bring a laptop.
Pinkies + Cocktails — Oak Lawn| 2am
Coffee bar by day. Cocktail bar by night. We have not made it here yet, but based on the reviews, Pinkies gets lively when the sun sleeps!

Dallas Coffee Shops Open Until 2am

Listen…your options are dwindling fast now. You’ll have to be flexible.

Bishop Arts | 2am
Not actually Dallas coffee shop (unless you count coffee ice cream), and we’re not sure about Wi-Fi— but it’s a fantastic cereal and ice cream bar that feels like a blast to the past. We love it here! It’s great for just hanging out late with friends, and you could maybe work here if needed too.

Dallas Proper/ Mockingbird Lane | 2am
We don’t love it, but the hours keep it in the game. Solid bagels too. Serviceable coffee. Sometimes you just need a place to sit and have at it.

Yes, you noticed — there are no true after-midnight study or work spots in Dallas. You will have to drive, my friend.

Late-Night Coffee Shops Near Dallas (Worth the Drive)

These aren’t in Dallas proper, but they show up constantly in late-night coffee searches, and for good reason. They’re the best. Cream of the crop. Elite. Most serve authentic Middle Eastern coffee, and they’re all great places to study or work.

McKinney | ~12am
Yemeni coffee, late hours, work-friendly, excellent tables. Top pick outside Dallas.

Richardson/ Frisco/ Irving | ~12am
Late hours + sit-and-stay energy. Great for productivity.

Irving/ Plano/ Lewisville | ~12am
Another strong Yemeni option — legit coffee culture.

Plano | ~12am
Tea-forward, laptop-friendly depending on time. Reliable late-night study spot. This one’s actually our favorite because of the food!

#1 Honorable Mention

Sweet Hut Bakery & Cafe (Plano) ~12am. This is not a coffee shop but rather a dessert cafe! Sometimes loud, sometimes laptop heaven. Hit or miss for productivity, but always delicious.

24-Hour Coffee Shop Alternatives Near Dallas

So fun fact: There are no 24-hour coffee shops in Dallas right now, unless you count the DFW airport or an emergency hospital, which we don’t. But, there is a reasonable workaround. Here are two co-working places that might do the trick!

Welcoming coworking space with tables, chairs, workstations, coffee, and for studying or working late-night in the Dallas area.

Wait! What is a co-working space?

Co-working spaces are shared places where you can work, study, use Wi-Fi and — in many cases — drink unlimited coffee. Most are designed for businesses and cost way too much, but a few are priced more like gym memberships and are accessible to the average person. If you regularly need somewhere to work overnight, these may be the closest thing Dallas has to a 24-hour coffee shop.

Dallas/Oak Cliff | Open 24/7
Switchyards is a members-only “neighborhood work club” that’s basically a cross between a coffee shop, college library and hotel lobby. Membership includes 24/7 access, free coffee and tea, fast Wi-Fi, phone booths and meeting rooms. As of August 2026, it costs $100 per month when paid annually or $129 month-to-month, which is much more reasonable than most co-working spaces. We’ve worked here, and it’s great. 10/10!

Carrollton | Open 24/7
This location is definitively not a coffee shop, and membership is required (~$70/mo). However, if you’re a true night owl who’s specifically looking for a study or work spot, it’s worth it (and hundreds of dollars cheaper than a traditional 24 hour co-working space).

With Wi-Fi, caffeine and vending machines, you can go goblin mode and exist here indefinitely (I know we have!). You can also probably get crafty with the cost by getting family passes for friends. You can also just get crafty in general. They have a wood shop, metal shop, 3D printers, sewing and ceramics studios, electronics equipment, and basically every other hobby you could suddenly decide to pick up at 3 AM.

Otherwise: It’s Café Brazil, Waffle House (both open 24 hrs), or . . . bed.

FAQs — People Also Ask

Are These Late-Night Coffee Shops Good for Studying?

Most of them, yes! However, by far, the best study-approved picks are La Casita Coffee or Halcyon (open until 10pm). There’s also Qahwah House, Area Yemeni, Haraz, Huber Karak (all outside Dallas but worth the drive).

Are there really no 24/7 coffee shops in Dallas?

I’m sorry, friend, but no lies were told. Your only options are to stick to Cafe Brazil and Waffle House, or buy a membership to a 24 hour work spot (like Switchyards or Dallas Makerspace) or…stay home. Sorry bout’ it.

What are the best late-night study spots in Dallas?

Outside of the co-working spaces, our vote is La Casita Coffee (open until 10pm) + the Yemeni coffee shops north of the city (open until midnight or later).

What time do Dallas coffee shops close?

Most close 5–8pm. Anything later is a unicorn.

Can I work on my laptop at these shops?

It’s a go! In other words, yes you can. Spelled Milk and Shugs are the questionable options, but everything else is a for sure, yes.

Final Thoughts

Coffee shops open late in Dallas do exist. You just have to know where to look.
Dallas options taper off after 10pm, but Yemeni cafes outside the city are the real gems for both productivity and social hours. Save this list for finals week, late-night deadlines, or whenever Starbucks betrays you.

Until next time ☕💤
