Originally, we debated whether or not to write this post. Two of us said no to a post about Dallas indoor golf, but one of us — yep, me, Autumn — absolutely insisted. And I’ll tell you why…
Top Golf is extremely affordable.

We really pride ourselves on consistently blogging about new, unique experiences we think you’ll love. But the one thing we always keep in mind is accessibility. We love things that are affordable. That’s why we created Good Time on a Dime — a whole tab dedicated to cheap (but awesome) things to do in Dallas.
So, even though this experience isn’t the most hidden or unique, it’s still 100% worth sharing. Because honestly, where else can you have a great time with your friends for just $10 each? The best memories aren’t about what you’re doing, but rather who you’re doing it with. This is all to say, bring your crew, soak up the good vibes, and have a good time.

And if you need to make more friends so you can fill an entire bay, check out our post on How to Make Friends in DFW.

Our Experience
We went on Sunday Funday, which is also a discount day, not half off (like Monday through Thursday) but still dang good at only $30 per hour! We split our bay among six people — which made our dang good deal, damn good — and ordered a platter with margaritas. It was a fantastic time! Not bad for a super popular Dallas outing!

None of us are golfers. I repeat: none of us. But that didn’t matter at all. Topgolf isn’t serious or stuffy—it’s fun, casual, and made for people who just want to smack a golf ball while eating nachos and laughing with friends. You don’t even need to bring your own clubs — they’re already there waiting for you.

And yes, there are heaters for the winter and fans for the summer, so no matter when you go, you’ll be comfortable.

Also, pro tip: Dallas Indoor Golf is for all ages. You can totally bring your kids here. It’s an activity that works just as well for teens as it does for friend groups or casual date nights.

Pro-pro tip: Reserve your bay ahead of time if you’re going on the weekend! We’re super happy we reserved our bay online because there were no walk-ins slots that day. You’ve been warned!
What Is Topgolf?
Topgolf is a modern driving range with climate-controlled bays where you can hit golf balls into targets and rack up points. Each ball has a microchip, so the system knows how far it goes and whether you hit the target. You can play different games, challenge your friends, and even select themed modes (some inspired by Angry Birds or Topgolf’s own signature scoring system).

You order food, drinks, and apps right to your bay while you play. They’ve got great service, solid food (think: upscale sports bar), and enough space to spread out and enjoy yourself.
It’s also indoors-ish. It’s technically open-air, but the bays are covered and weather-protected, so for most people, it feels like an indoor experience, hence the title Dallas Indoor Golf. And yes — there’s music, TVs, and full service, so it’s part driving range, part hangout spot.
There are four Topgolf locations in the DFW area: Dallas, The Colony, Allen and Fort Worth. The Dallas location is right off 75 and Park Lane.

Why Dallas Indoor Golf?
We’re recommending Topgolf because:
- ✅ It’s affordable (especially if you go Mon-Thurs before 5pm)
- ✅ It’s easy to coordinate (you can book in advance, split the cost, and show up)
- ✅ It works for almost any group (kids, teens, coworkers, besties, dates—it fits)
- ✅ It’s low pressure (you don’t have to be athletic or competitive to have fun)
- ✅ You can stay for food + drinks without switching venues

It’s also a great backup plan if your original idea falls through — and it’s tons of fun! We always say: when in doubt, Topgolf. Okay, we don’t say that. No one does. But you could. 🏌️♀️
Final Thoughts
Even though this post was a little bit debated at first (cough, not naming names), I’m glad we wrote it. Topgolf is fun, affordable, and a great reminder that it’s not about what you’re doing, but who you’re doing it with.

Bring your friends, your siblings, your coworkers, your little cousins, ya mama and ’nem — whoever. Grab a bay, split the cost, and make a memory. And when you’re done, treat yourself to a drink! I had a Moscow Mule the last time out. That was a good beverage; would buy again.
Um, if you like this post, maybe share it? Also, check out our Good Time on a Dime tab and sign up for our newsletter! We’ve got a full list of fun, affordable things to do in Dallas — and we drop new recs every week. Let’s goooo!
